I've rewatched the interview and I guess I can see what you both are talking about. What bugs me is how she talks about no one else trying, having an "honest race" and how she would have helped others meet the standard if she had hers. If I were another racer and was told that I wasn't trying- I'd be ticked. Just bugs. Anyway, I can see what y'all are saying.

Good job. Lindsay. In the Let's Run video clip you did mention that you and Morgan Ulceny agreed before the race to share the pace making. In Morgan's video interview on Let' Run, Morgan mention that she got boxed and was not able to help on the pace making and she was apoligtic of not fulfilling her part. I totally agree with you, in this situation the non-A standard women have to step up and go for it. You're right, who cares about placing 6th place in this race. The only other thing you could have done was to not just have Morgan on board, but get the other non A standard racers and coaches to agree to share the pace for at least the first half of the race.

My reaction was much different than Krista's. I thought Lindsay was very honest, very gracious and yes, very classy. In fact, I thought that was one of the best interviews I've heard. That was not a bunch of sound bites or cliches; it was real and coherent. I've become a big Lindsay Gallo fan after listening to this!

I don't think she lacked any class. She just shared some open opinions. But she did take responsibility for her not reaching the standards and is going to be dealing with that.
I really didn't understand in this race, or in other races, where much of the field didn't have the standard, why the pace was so slow. Again, you're trying to make the Olympics. If you don't meet the standard, you don't go. At least in the Canadian men's 1500m finals, some of the men who didn't have the standard went after it, even if it left them vulnerable later in the race (it didn't).

I know she's upset about not making the team, but come on. Show a little class- she didn't run the races she wanted too, and that's her fault.
