2008 Japanese Olympic Trials - Men`s 5000 m

Takayuki Matsumiya (Team Konica-Minolta) runs 13:47.81 to win the men`s 5000 m at the Japanese National Track & Field Championships at Todoroki Stadium, Kawasaki, on 6/28/08. His win means he will be selected for the Beijing Olympic team. 2nd place finisher Kensuke Takezawa (Waseda Univ.) ran a fantastic final 200 m and may also be selected for the Olympic team.
