You mean "squeamish," I think. A "squemish" is a crustacean of the genus squema.

No ham, watch out I hear they have been trying to clean up their act but I hear they serve dog and cat. I did see a report that they are trying their best to hid this fact from their soon to arrive tourists from the West.

But Really   July 24, 2008 at 12:50pm
The point becoming clear here that a seemingly silly little thing (call it manners, whatever) like forgetting that people might not want to watch you eating while you're talking about yourself can distract from what you are saying and from the fact that you really are quite a remarkable athlete and maybe a person we all can admire. The ham took on a life of its own and ended up overshadowing Jenny. Basic courtesy does matter, and more so when you reach the point where you have a wide audience and, as an Olympic athlete, you represent an entire country and form the basis for other people's opinions of us. And perhaps more important, can you even get good ham in Beijing?

I Ham I Said   July 24, 2008 at 12:46pm
I ham, I said to no on there. And no one heard at all not even the chair. I ham, I cried, I ham, said I

Oh Dear Manners Maven, why is it always those who hide under the cloak of propriety are always the rudest? Hmm makes one wonder. Wipe the smirk off your face please.

Steve Steve, Steve -- you clearly haven't yet learned that you ARE what you eat, and how you eat it, and when you eat it, and how you display it while you're chewing it while talking on camera. And you, Anonymous Coward, the fact that many people behave like pigs does not make it less piggy. And get the spinach out of your teeth and wipe your chin.

Smart runner and darned cute too. And when you've just set an AR, you deserve to eat during your interview.

Thank you Flotrack for covering this. I hope NBC is paying attention getting ready for Beijing, because the US women's steeple team is a great story.
