What a beautiful person. It's so good to get an insight into what an athlete is like rather than just post race out of breath interviews. I hope he can come back stronger from his disappointment.

Wallace's celebration right after the race was one of my highlights of the games...he was so happy. He went over and lifted Bolt off the ground even though the man just handed him his a$$ on a platter.
To find out you're DQ'd after all that must have been very painful and he seemed to take it quite well. So yah I was a Spearmon fan already.
After this interview I like him even more.
Yes rules are rules, enough said. (Mark, you probably shouldn't emphacize that it didn't effect the outcome...the margin was only 0.01 seconds b/w 3rd and 4th so this infraction could quite possibly have changed the finish order [unlike the Dutch Antilles' runner who touched the line less {if at all} and had a margin of 0.13 seconds!] )
Mark, please go 2 AHO/Utep's Martina, he was dq'ed and lost his silver, 19.82 NR to better his earnings going into other big race.

Spearmon is a person who handles disappointment without bitterness. That is the mark of a real man. I wish him continued success (he's my favorite in all indoor races, esp 200, 300, 400). I am sure he is a total success in life.

Wow, he interviews so well. He breaks the mold of athletes that sound like they have speech impediments. Hope you interview more of him before and after his races. It's really nice to hear his honest responses, despite his misfortune at the olympics.

rules are rules, honestly if crawford and dix didnt worry about the line and steped on the line a couple times they prolly would have run 2 or so less meters and they only lost by that margin anyway, if that. spearmon needs to work at his work ethic and needs to understand he HAS to run the first straight. it doesnt matter if u have the fastest back 100 in history, if you have the slowest first 100 out of the field then you will not win. he gives himself no shot at winning.
in all honestly crawford was racing for the gold while spearmon was racing for silver or bronze, if crawford didnt take it out so hard in order to give himself a shot at beating bolt then spearmon wouldnt have beat him anyway. crawford is the only runner not scared of bolt.
