Hummm...cooler and it may wipe some of the smog away - the rain may be a blessing.

Well the rain will knock a lot of the smog out of the air. So it shouldn't be to smoggy.

Weather Pre Race

We are only a day before the beginning of athletics at the 2008 Olympics and athletes who are getting ready to compete only have one day left to sit and wait. The days leading up to a big race are filled with excitement, nervousness, doubt and hope.

The Mens 1500, Womens steeple, Womens 800 and Mens 100 rounds begin on Friday. The Women's Hep is actually the first event/final and the night ends with a BANG with the Women's 10k. Shalane Flanagan has had some stomach issues, which we can only hope does not effect her race. Kara Goucher, Kim Smith and Amy Yoder Begley round out the other Flotrack favorites.

The Shot starts off the field events with the American men going for the sweep.

There are tons of previews but I will do a crack recap and weather reports throughout the events.
