Good luck, Vig! You'd have been a fool to pass on this chance ( And I say that as a Longhorn alum!).

ps--Years ago, I heard Arthur Lydiard tell someone that he preferred coaching women, but that they were more of a challenge because they are mentally tougher and refuse to say anything when they are injured!

I live in Charlottesville. This is a great city for runners and a huge percentage of the population are serious about running. This is a really exciting development for us and you won't find many places where the fan base gets into cross and track more. There is even a local radio show just about high school track. This is total win for Vig and for UVa!

UVA was already a solid program. With Vig there, that program should become immediately better. In a couple of years, that place will be a monster, particularly as a distance runner destination - my prediction.

I heard Leo is going to move out to join a running group...i.e. oregon track club...but I could be wrong. Aren't there alot of good ex distance runners in austin...erik stanley, joe thorne...all those guys..he should just keep training with them.
