Great filming! I think it was better than the ESPN guys do with XC meets, not that they do much at all.

Klotz, Centro, Wall all held out as well. Again, the meet was not a joke -- just a tune up for both schools as they get into the season. See other comments below.

the guys said they get bored training there. I can imagine after a while it would get old, but they have a ton of places to run and a bunch are like that.

This meet was a first for Oregon and Portland State. I believe Portland State participates in the Bill Dellinger Cross Country race which is a yearly tradition for the Ducks, but this race (Pre's Trail Race) was sort of a last minute 'throw-it-together' season warm-up for both schools and folks locally in Eugene. It was also a mini-celebration for last years men's national championship and women's runner up performances.

The Ducks held out Puskedra, Acosta, Wheating, Rupp, Shadrack Kiptoo-Biwott, and Diego Mercado. The Duck men's and women's team head up to Sun River for a training camp for the next week. Again, this was an early in the season race for Oregon (About 3 weeks earlier than their first race in 2007).

Why did they have this race?

Talk about one-sided...

I agree with the other guy, most cross country race videos are unwatchable.

Nice job filming and editing. It's hard to find footage of a cross country meet where the camera isn't shaking all the time.
