It is possible that the women will not be traveling to pre-nats as they have experience there and there is essentially no need to go. Most of the team knows the course, and the ability to skip it may pay off over the long run.

The mens team is for sure not going.

I'm seeing Washington's women runners ranked over Oregon this week (mid-October) and after doing a lot of math, comparing equivilant times as much as can be done on two different courses, I'm still siding with Oregon. Wash ran a 5K with great times, but that is what you'd expect from Bab, Lawrence, Saylor, and others. Oregon women ran nearly identical times at the 5K mark and went the 6th K. I need to see more than that. Let's wait until Saturday when they go head to head!

Great looking race and love the rain. Kind of a treat to run in. Kosinski looked well-prepared for the meet as most of the team did. I'm guessing Blood is on a slightly different training schedule than the rest. She went all the way to semis at the Olympic Trials, pulling out at the last minute with back spasms. A lot of hard wwork right through the regular track season and the Trials. Number one, rest and heal the back problem, number two, try and blend in with the team and play a little catch-up until the PAC-10s. She's only 20 seconds off Kosinski now. This race looked like she knew that and just locked in with about that spread early on. Didn't look happy. I don't think she likes being back there. She'll be smiling in a few more weeks.
