I remember when this guy was a skinny, little high school freshman running in the 17s for a 5k. When he won Footlocker, everybody in NW Indiana loved it. He has come a long way. And hopefully will go farther.
Fouts good he's not Derrick or Fernandez though. He may be better someday but they're better now. Derrick does seem like a jerk with the way he is on Dyestat but he backs it up. Fout seems like a cool guy and I hope he does good but don't try to say he's Derrick or Fernandez. I like that Fout seems like a nice guy and it would be great if he can beat guys like Derrick that are but he's not even close yet.
It's nice to hear this kid speak. There were alo of talented runners coming out of high school last year, but there were also alot of y kids as well....Derrick, Fernandez.....GREAT runners, but arrogant as can be.
Who knows how good Fout will be, but I hope he's able to shut people up. I doubt he'll accomplish anything this year. He said he was healthy, but at the same time it sounds like he's often injured. Going from missing an entire track season to a college training program is going to take a year or two from him to adapt. I'd imagine he'll even regress a bit. In the coming years, though, I hope to see him do well....and keep his current attitude.
who cares honestly about fernandez...fout on that day....beat the best in the us, cross is a different animal from track, he beat fernandez, thats all that has to be said, mayb he wont beat him in college, but on that day he was the best in the country, and everyone seems to like think it was a fluke but it wasnt he set midwest regional course record and beat derrick there to and then he came back and owned at THE race....go fout, hope you do big things in cross and have a sucessful careerr
Nice vid, it's good to here from the stud who didn't get to show what he had. He seems like he has a lot of pent up frustration but he did a great job.
Its nice to hear a little about Fout. Ive been hearing so much about Derrick, Fernandez, Puskedra and Lowe, I have been hoping Fout would get a little bit of attention as well. So far, he is having a great season fro a true Frosh and last year showed he can show up at big races.
Hey Michael, fluke believers are just that....empty headed goons who can't even put a foot on the course.....(so let that be a warning to all of us to never act as though we belong to the fluke goon tribe.) Regarding pressure....good answer. Thanks Ryan, you got the questions on target.
Michael Fout, the 2007 Footlocker CC Champ, battled injuries all through the spring following his national championship honors. Now he's at FSU and is excited about getting back to racing with the big dawgs. October 20, 2008

I hope he comes up and contends in years to come.
