Amazing how predictions change with just one injury. All folks did well and Flotrack did awesome job......despite some technical difficulties......to keep us informed. Felt as though I was there (minus the wind chill) so Thanks. Keep coming back!!!

Why would Rupp take the lead when he didn't have to? I'm sure if Chalenga started sitting for the finish, Rupp would have taken it. With Chalenga surging and falling back all race, Galen ran the smartest race of the day. He didn't let emotions or adrenaline control his actions and flat out won.

oh get off the Galen band wagon.. You have to admit he didn't even try to take the lead until 400m to go.. I'll be the first to admit that Chalenga was an idiot with that massive surge. But show some nuts and take the front a little.

TOO BAD you state "it kind of feels like he just stole the Nat'l Title"

Surely you jest! It is called a smart tactical race. Galen Rupp earned the title as an intelligent race of heart. He came in second last year and learned from his mistake. GEEZ.

God that sucks.. But Puskedra 5th, Derrick 7th.. and German would of been top 3 probally.. Man the next 4 years is going to be awsome to watch. I wonder what would of happend if Chad Hall had stayed at Oregon, Colby Lowe got to run up front with the big boys instead of moving up from the back.
Oh well great race.. Just wish that Galen did a little more work with Chalenga.. Cause it kinda feels like he just stole the National Title

I don't think that running as a team lead to Fernandez potentially fracturing his ankle...I'm guessing it has to do with the Achilles problem he had last track season during Arcadia. He was after all in the third place group with about 2500 meters to go...I wouldn't blame the strategy of Dave Smith...I'd blame the running gods

I think runnig as team can be vey confusing to a runner sometimes. I think a coach should just say "get out there and kick some ass" I think OK state coach was telling his runners to work as team, and sometimes this puts added pressure on a runner, as it did with Fernandez.
