So, you're only willing to help those who are complete badasses in college. not those who did well, but If worked on, they could be competing at the trials? Hmm thats kind of stupid.

I appreciated the intro. Other high elevation "rubberized" tracks: Los Alamos High School (NM) 7288 (or is it 7266?). (Discussed in "Bowerman and the Men of Oregon". 35 miles away in Santa Fe, NM ~7k' is another high school track. Just off "the hill" from Los Alamos is a high school track at

Lemoncello was doing his run at a different time that day. He's getting fit and ready for World XC. You'll see results from him in January.

On that particular leg speed session, Greg was trying to get the athletes to work on their neuromuscular system - exploding off the line for 50m or so - many talk about this as alactic training. He describes their training and the philosophy behind it on their website (training blog). For this type of training, the athlete (like in hill training) will have exaggerated arm swing.

Where was Lemoncello during all this? He wasn't on the new video on the team website either.

Great video, but could do without the music. Just let the mike pick up all the ambient sounds. McMillan seems a little overzealous at the track workout--is he really telling elites to use their arms more?

Please don't do any more dramatic openings anymore...it doesn't work for this video esp. but the rest of it is cool.

Uploaded By: Flotrack
McMillan Elite is a post collegiate group in Flagstaff, Az and the founder and head coach, Greg McMillan announced the new group here on Flotrack on Feb 27th, 2007 (What was I thinking with that mic. Sorry Greg) and since that time he has seen great success. Recently I traveled to Flagstaff and was blown away by the beautiful town and how fast Greg's group has formed. McMillan Elite is looking to add quite a few male and female runners this spring so if you want to compete after college or you know someone who does check out the video and contact Greg for more info. Click here to see the McMillian Elite Website. Here is the "about us" from McMillan Elite McMillanElite is a new, post-collegiate running team based in Flagstaff, Arizona and under the direction of Coach Greg McMillan. This new team offers emerging elite runners an ideal training environment combined with the necessary support to achieve success in long distance running.
