Coach Martin is being modest. He has never recruited the big-name athletes out of high school, but is without peer when it comes to taking good high school runners and turning them into GREAT collegiate runners. He has an uncanny ability to figure out exactly what training program works best for each individual athlete, and then inspires them to excellence. If I were a young man again, I'd want to run for Damon.
