Hey, they should have given you guys a coupon code so we could all learn first hand what is the advantage of the semisweet chocolate chip cookies. Christine and The UW Women shouldn't be the only ones with this advantage.....Tempting!

Or how is this?

"I do not follow any special diet. I just try to eat healthy food, including a lot of vegetables.
I really love to eat hamburgers and fries, but I try to limit eating them as much as possible.
I believe that an athlete should eat whatever he or she likes, as long as the food is healthy, has sufficient carbohydrates and proteins. "

Fun video mark, I agree with you, it doesn't always have to be running videos, it's fun to just see people having fun and enjoying themselves, it gives you an idea what they are like outside of just knowing how fast they are and what they've won.

To MikeyB, I don't believe Bekele ever said that, in fact, if I remember correctly (I can't find the article right now, but I know I've seen it) Bekele actually talks about how much he loves ice cream but has to be careful not to eat it too much or he'll get fat.
You say direct quote but give no source, so here you go, a little food for thought:
"Dibaba, whose favorite food is Enjira bread (though she does profess to liking chocolate and strawberry ice cream), has not yet decided whether she will do the double in the Osaka World Championships as she is entitled by the right of being the defending champion"

i wasnt the one that posted that comment, but i recall reading somewhere Bekele saying something very similar... no ice cream and he follows a strict diet.

Oh well, cutting out cookies may lower my 17 plus past my prime 5k, but i gladly take the slower times.
And it seems to not be affecting Christine in any way. All in moderation.

Was it just a coincidence that all those other coaches were there? or was it planned? Seems like definitely the place to be. Kinda reminds me of the scene in "Showdown" where Abdi is at the sushi place having a beer. Everyone has their own little vice that they do in moderation, if anything it helps them relax just that much more.

Where did Bekele say, " I don't eat ice cream because Bekele will be slow" Can I see an article or some type of source?

Amazing what she did for the ladies mile! Very motivational to see the focus of the women running thru the cold weather and water while training. Really showed why they do so well at the meets. Thanks Mark, loved the videos. Completed the San Antonio Marathon, nice to see Sell run. Any chance you plan on doing Austin's Marathon or any marathons in you're near future?

Read a Book,

Babcock at Pre Nats

We believe that it is also important to show the athletes off the track.

Can we see some of Christine's talent? Why is this "cookie ad" posted? How about some running videos of some races that she's completed. This film was a waste of time for her future or potential prospects.

Good ad for chocolate chip cookies. Maybe when Christine opens up more and comes out of her shell you can do an interview about her running and maybe a track work out video. This commercial was too long.

Hey, no one doubted Christine was smart. Where did you get that from? I believe she graduated with a 4.0 GPA. A lot of shy people are very intelligent, and a lot of extroverts, well, never mind. . .

this a very cool video! one thing that sticks out to me though, is the relationships with the other sports coaches and how they seem to all be part of a community. i like that and i think it is important. each sport supports the other, i like it!

This is just ONE of the little things that seperate the Americans from the Kenyans or Ethiopians.......A Bekele quote " I don't eat ice cream because Bekele will be slow" He said it with the belief that if would be so......For the NCAA's it probaby doesnt matter that much..... Anyway....Go Hawgs
