Actually, you are far behind the science of lifting for performance. Lifting to isolate muscle groups is old school bodybuilding. Exercise scientists have now come to believe that to increase performance in most sports you want to have exercises that involve multiple muscle/joint groups and ones which increase core strength and/or explosiveness. Having a little looseness in form isn't a problem in this kind of lifting.

Hey thanks for signing an autograph for my elementary students...I hung up a picture of you and your autograph in my school office and the kids who look at it think you're amazing! I talk about how hard you work on the track (with Alan) and now I can see them pushing themselves a little harder when we go running. Thanks!

Have any of you ever run 90 miles a week with the same intensity and track sessions as Webb or Lukezic or any other top american miler? If you did I'm sure that your weight room sessions wouldn't be so impressive either. I'm sure some of you are excellent lifters, but I promise you that none of you are excellent runners. I enjoyed the video but can't understand why this sport breeds such critical fans who think they know it all.

Bryan you can't really claim that training method to be Webb's. It was devised by John Cook at George Mason who taught Scott Raczko who now coaches Alan Webb.

his form is atrocious. seems to me like he is creating bad habits by lifting the wrong way. lifting is suppose to isolate specific muscle groups. he compensates on every lift!!!! it drives me nuts!!! the effort is there, not the technique.

To all those saying this is a weak workout: Have you ever seen the greatest distance runners? You think they have amazing lifting sessions?

Alan Webb is an anomaly...

Alright fellas, i think what all the "haters" are trying to convey is that it isn't a matter of working hard, or being a great athlete, as Lukezic seems to qualify for both of those. It's more a matter of performing certain items in an appropriate manner. For a miler, i certainly agree with everything in this video (the notion of the purse included), except for the weights. They are performed like something that has to be done, and not as something that is necessary. Slow it down, learn what you're doing, and that will make all the difference.

Life is beautiful. Let's make a positive impact while we're here on earth. One can make a choice of making a positive statement, not say anything at a all or critisize, when merited.

didn't think so-- so don't think that you know it all or are the best if you can't back it up... and quit being a coward and post under your real name
