UW has great academics and as everyone knows a very good womens program - yes i know only recently- but metcalf has proven he can do it obviously. So i dunno why people are saying go to UW "only if you wanna get injured", youre prolly from oregon or somethin

I just came across Jordan's middle school results and they are crazy. Keep your eyes peeled for a girl by the name of Katherine Adams from Marengo, IL. She ran a 5:01.28 full mile this past spring at the Midwest Distance Gala... and she was 12 years old.

honestly, go to a college that will make you happy regardless of how good the team is. I couldn't imagine she'll get that much one on one coaching like she did in HS. UW especially with such a big roster.

Go to Washinton only if you WANT to get injured, and prefer not to have a long running career.

Go to a school with both good athletics and academics... find a coach that is right for you!! Going to the top running school is not always the answer. Remember that! There are many other schools that will give you a challenge and help you grow in both areas.

Ohh, I thought she said she gave herself an "A" in cross country too because she won Footlocker. Nevermind, she said she didn't get the state record right..

I see, so this is at Balboa Park?
And to all of you saying Washington over Oregon, what about Stanford? Yes she would have more training partners at Washington AND Oregon and probably become a better runner, but she gets really good grades too I'm pretty sure so Stanford is still there..
What if she goes pro after a while? Though she definitely isn't good enough yet.
Yummy cookies, =).

i definitely think she'll end up choosing Washington over Oregon. even if she went to oregon, they would never beat washington and she would rather be on a winning TEAM. with that said she'll be at washington next yr, one of their top three on the xc team, and they'll totally dominate NCAA's next fall. p.s. she wants some of those magic cookies!!

Haha go Jordan. She will have sooo many training partners in Washington and it would be amazing to see what Vin could do at Oregon. But of course Stanford is also a great school and closer to home.

She'll never cut her hair! Also she does have a coach (Armando Siqueiros) and the #2 girl on the team, Annie Mooney, is pretty good (2:20ish 800 girl). The team is fairly good for a D5 team, meaning a school with less than 500 people.
P.S. She reads these comments ya know...

Please go to Washington! Think of all the great training partners you would have! And WHATEVER you do don't go to FSU. Perrish the thought. . . you would hate hate hate the humidity. It is oppressive. A Cali gal would die in that humidity.
