remember I said it first.Galen Rupp is going to set an american record in the 10,000 meters sometime this summer.Alberto Salzar who is his coach, should of been alan webbs coach also.Running a sub 4 minute mile on oregons DMR proves he has speed which is what you need,in order to beat the africans.

looks like rupp is pretty close to that sub-4. usually relay splits are a little fast, but he seems like he is right there.

Using a stopwatch I got splits for Oregon which I think are fairly accurate:

Jordan McNamara: 2:55.0
Chad Barlow: 47.9
Andrew Wheating: 1:48.2
Galen Rupp: 3:58.2
This adds up to 9:29.3 which is a pretty good estimation compared to the actual time they ran. Hopefully this helps anybody who's wondering!

never mind with that coverage I don't care. If he would shut up with the obvious things that we all can see, maybe we could hear the meet anouncer give splits since he refuses to. With the offbeat size of the track I sure can;t do it because I have no idea where to take them.

ulrey ran 3:54, making up a 2.6 second gap and finishing 1.04 seconds ahead. so rupp ran 3:57 high or 3:58
