Coach = Awesome   May 8 at 1:52am
That coach is sick! In a 12 minute video he seems to be one of the best coaches a high school phenom could ask for. Nice, positive, is a friend(cool down at the friend was bordering on disney stuff) and knows how to inspire an already accomplished athlete to greater heights. that intro was definately inspiring to me, let alone to jordan herself.

I was thinking the same thing about the sarcasm. One person not catching on is fine, but it seemed like every other person didn't get it. I have always been around runners and find they are pretty smart. Now I'm not so sure about that.

Great video though. I've never had a great workout running by myself. Can't wait to see what she can do when she has a real team to run with.

She is amazing... I wish I could run 2:18 in the 800 and she ran it as the last rep! 27-28 is amazing too... that is also another time that is decent on its own, she is running it as part of reps...

Coach Steve Chavez would be proud. If you've ever been to one of his coaching seminars at Murrieta Valley HS you'd laugh watching this video. He drills this stuff into your head constantly. Dynamic Stretching, Interval Training, 3 minutes rest between runs (not one second more), total miles per day and per week! It certainly made a difference in my program back then, and I told him so. It's just the greatest coaching a HS kid can get and her coach has it down to a science!

I'm liking the open field running. My back yard was that big in high school. In winter I built a plow with a sled to clear a track in the snow. Never got much speed work in because it snowed a lot in Jefferson County, New York. But come spring track time I had tons of leg power from plowing the snow. I was very at home running in the grass year round. Jordan and Mando are bringing back some great memories!

Jordan Hasay Workout - Episode #16, Back on Track

Its coming to the end of an era. Jordan Hasay's senior year. She has goals on her mind and things to accomplish, but there has been set backs over the past few months. She missed her last Arcadia meet where she had hoped to set the National 3200 meter record (9:48). She missed the indoor national record at 2 miles. This is really the first season Jordan has been hampered with illness. However time has past and things are getting back on track. Jordan ran the 1500 this past weekend at the Payton Jordan Invite against some of the top elite and collegiate girls in the country. Her time of 4:16.80 was only 2.3 seconds shy of her national high school record. With the guidance of Coach Mando, things seem to be looking up and Jordan Hasay is back on the move. Check out her workout 11 days out from Payton Jordan.... (Watch 1500m Race)

Original Workout:
3x1200 - 3mins recovery
4-6x200 - 1min recovery

Interview with Jordan about her high school career.
