The irish are fast because it is in their gene. If you have spent any time over there you would see. Hard living and hard work evolving over the years equals productivity--if you can keep them off the Jameson.(just kidding)

Fagan started getting real fast when he joined Mc Millian Elite.

So just an idea... how about a flotrack contest. Design Martin Fagan's next tat?? I think that would be sick and a lot of fun. Get some team Ireland gear or something for it. Just a thought.

Martin, check out Tim Commerford from Rage Against the Machine for ink. That's dedication - the guy has taken years to get the coverage he has.

Ian Curtis of Joy Division was one of the greatest lyricists of all time, he might be my favorite. JD is one of my favorite bands. Not saying I would get a tattoo about it, but at least Martin got a great band. Besides, I would most likely get a tattoo of Isolation or Atmosphere.

Well, he's a great distance runner anyway that's for sure.
I'm glad I never tatooed any Doors album covers on me when I was 20, i don't even like The Doors anymore and I'll bet it'd be tough getting them off.
I guess you can tatoo over them though.

Martin Fagan and the tats

Irish Olympian, NCAA All-American and marathoner, Martin Fagan, has a little bit of an addiction to tattooing his body. Some people run to the pay bills, Martin runs to pay for more tattoos. When Martin was in Austin for the 3M half-marathon (which he won and set a course record) he came by the Flotrack HQ and we took a look at his tattoos. This past weekend, Martin set the Irish National record in the half marathon at 1:00:57. The had stood for 21 years. He also led the first 10k of the race against Haile G and eventual winner Sammy Kitwara.
