umm, you must have not been there...he was not cruising the last 600...he was all out.

I highly doubt that, Fernadez is good but Chelanga and Rupp are just a step above him right now.

Galen Rupp has the indoor American record 13:18.12 for 5k....

Sam Chelanga of Liberty rewrote the record books at Brutus Hamilton by break Galen Rupp's collegiate record in the 10k by running 27:28.

Chelanga is scheduled to run the 5k next weekend at the 2009 Payton Jordan Cardinal Invite at Stanford.
