Chris Thompson

I could not agree more we hope Chris Thompson makes the break through in 2010 that he deserves. Chris is a great guy, this year he came to Cornwall and ran in the inaugural Eden half-Marathon over what could be argued is a very very tough course. He was 'dared' to enter the day before the race with no training under his belt and then won it in great style. Although there were not that many international class runners for this first event, it goes to show what a great talent Chris is. Not only did he win the event, (even though he looked nervous on the start line) but after the race he took time to speak to people, join in the fun and generally gained a lot of admirers here in Cornwall.............his girl friend Jemma Simpson.........shes not bad either!

no doubt Chris Thompson is a better athlete than Mo Farah, if he stays clear of injury he will prove it one day - then we will see more of a genuine personality in UK athletics

Massive talent. He ran 28.49 10k road of very little training last year. Awesome as a Junior but been injured too much as a senior.

What a great guy. Been a big talent for years.

For all you Americans that don't know, Chris used to have the beating of Mo Farah back in their junior days.
