The 23 year-old ran personal bests this past year of 3:43 for 1,500m, 13:42 for 5,000m, and 7:57 for 3,000m - the latter placing him 4th at the USATF Indoor Championships. Nightingale qualified for both the Indoor and Outdoor USATF National Championships (3k / 5k), and won both the Virginia Tech and Terrier Classic Invitationals on the track. Nightingale also performed well in both cross country and the roads - he was 10th at both the USATF Club and World XC Trials and won the Armagh Road Race 5k in Northern Ireland in a course record time of 13:54. David will have an abbreviated strength based fall before returning to XC and track in the spring of 2010.

#11	Nick Higgins February 25 at 2:24pm My grandfather's family came to the USA from Poland. When I think of Poland, I think of tremendous weight lifters like Marius Pudzianowski. It's pretty awesome to see a Polish runner mix it up in cross country and break that stereotypical mold. reply

#3	Lmn February 24 at 8:14pm great race. Great to see irish cross country. It's great when a race is decided towards the end. Keith Kelly...... wonder what he could have accomplished had the injuries not set in. He got top 25 in world cross just after he won NCAA nationals. I think he is the only Irishman to win USA NCAA national cross country. Hope we get to see more of Keith racing in Ireland. Credit to Marck Caroll too. Great to see him actually having a good time racing the next generation. reply

Men's 6k cross country race from the Battle of the Boyne site in Ireland. This is the 40th year of the race and this year the meet put together an international field of Fins, Pols, Irish, Brits and Americans.
