I am just disgusted by all this kind of attention to a WHITE AMERICAN RUNNER.
Millions of africans runners can run and still run better than RYAN HALL but no one giving them any attention! this is disgrace to all you guys who are interviewing and getting in bed with ryan. what a chame!
In the next race, ryan will not do his best because of all this pempering of american media. He lacks the real motivation to run from hunger, poverty and helplessness like all great african runners and that is the real motivation.
They did not run by choice but to do good and better in their lifes.
Ryan please go bad, keep taining and win boston after that it would be allright to give some interviews. that is what i think and no heartfeelings
Race has nothing to do with it. We love Abdi, KD, Hall, Goucher, Leo, and we will interview almost anyone, but that being said, if you run fast but cannot speak the language of the users of our site it really does nothing for us or our users. By nature Africans are quiet and that does not make for good videos. People love Abdi, bc he opens up and you get to know him, the same with Andrew Wheating or even Kim Smith in her shy way. Personality not race make for good videos.

Abdi?   March 3 at 10:37am
Dude did you not see the love fest on this site for Abdi last year? This website was pretty much a marketing machine for his whole persona as "The Black Cactus". That's just one example among many. Get a clue man. There's no conspiracy here just because Hall is white. We're proud of all the American runners and they get equal hype.

after each and every hard workout; take it right after the workout; water should be 50F and you should be in there for 9 minutes. No yodeling !! Recreational runners don't do it very often but all the professionals do it. I'ts kind of like the saying about an apple a day keeps the doctor away; change apple into icebath and you got the message..... but it's cold !!!

I'm not sure how cold, I've heard in the 50's but I usually take them 10-12 minutes

My apologies. Haile dropped out of the Lagos half last week. Hall vs Haile is a great matchup.

How often should a runner take ice baths? How cold? How many minutes? What are the benefits?
