She totally knew he called her Sara, cause she kind of snorted after he did it and gave a little wan smile. That reporter is a rude idiot. Not to mention he like terrorized her at the start to get a final interview just seconds before the start.

Did anyone else bring up that the interviewer says, "I want all three of you, all three," and Alberto Salazar immediatetly walks away?

"Coward" Must I explain everything to its basic element? I meant in relationships to PR's. Ryan has a best of 2:06 - how many other Americans can make that statement? None. However, there are a boat load of Africans that have run that time (or better).

In Kara's case, a 2:25 best doesn't place her in a position to be a clear favorite entering any major marathon. In relation to her credentials - she did a super job and has no reason to feel bad.

how is ryan "closer to the Africans than Kara" Kara was about 10 seconds back, and Ryan? That is not a factual statement at all.
FYI Africa is a continent, I believe the runners were Kenyan and Ethiopians.

"Yes..." Ryan Hall has alot to celebrate. In comparison, Ryan is closer to the Africans than Kara. He has already posted some great times. Because he feels this is an effort that merits being happy - does not make him less competitive than Kara.

Is would have been nice to see an American win today...but it just didn't happen. However, they should both be glad that they are closing the gap.

This is the sort of competitive spirit we need. Kara Goucher took 3rd which is amazing, and was still very disappointed about it. Watch for her in 1-3 years and win something BIG, because she is NOT going to settle for just third. Contrast that with Hall who is celebrating/happy about getting 3rd. Sure, that deserves celebration because that's a great place, but he doesn't have the competitive drive of Goucher to beat the Africans... he will just settle for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 10th, etc.

Kara is amazing and did a great job. It's only her 2nd marathon and she will do great things later on :)

Kara fell on the hill and never recovered. She would have won, universal sports cut this out of live footage and no one has word of this yet. Totally ripped off, i would be upset too.
