I don't think the Stanford team, especially the ladies, would live in a shack. Probably more like a villa or luxury pad ha ha!

I don't think Vin lets workouts get taped, so it was good to get the Hasay workout before she goes there. Also, maybe because they were at Stanford and L. Centro runs for Stanford?

You guys should really do a track shack with the Stanford women's team haha.

She seems very sweet and she is running her tail off this year. So this is definiteley no disrespect for her. But how come we have two interviews with her and her brother runs 3:36 and you guys can't track him down for even one? You guys are awsome don't get me wrong just wondered if Vin is protecting the (redshirt) freshman.

Sometime when you guys are at the Stanford track, take a walk over to the "Track House" end of the track (away from the football stadium), and check out the three pillars with the plaques on them. One is school records, one is NCAA records, and one is Olympians. Find a local expert to kind of walk you through them. You will be amazed at who you see there.

Centro is awesome! Will she be going pro after this season then? Awesome runner and a great role model.

Stop the comments about "Cards" and the "Cardinals," please. Their name is the Stanford "Cardinal", singular.

She caught my attention way back in 2006 at the Penn Relays when the Stanford top milers, which included Centro and Lambie, broke the American record in the 4x1500. The "Cardinal" (for TJ) has been a dominant force in the running business for more than a decade. As this interview points out they've been through some coaching changes in the past few years. They haven't landed on their feet yet from all of that, but they certainly have continued to recruit well. Alex Dunne, Laurenne Chetelat, Alex Gits, Claire Collison, et al!
And by the way she is just as polite as her brother, and charming too.

She seems so humble and sweet and always speaks with a smile on her face. It's amazing someone who is so seemingly no assuming is such a tiger on the track!

Lauren Centrowitz of Stanford on the season

Lauren Centrowitz has been having a great 2009 during indoors and now into outdoor. We talked to her about the season and what its been like for her now as one of the leaders of the team. This past weekend she dropped her PR by 6 seconds in the 1500 running 4:10 (ranks her #2 in the NCAA). She also talks about the change in coaches, as it is the third time there has been a transition since she has been at Stanford. Lauren will be gearing up for Pac-10s next weekend and we wish her all the best as she looks to win her first individual Pac-10 title.

Watch Lauren run 4:10 in the 1500 at Payton Jordan.
