I don't he said they never did any speed or strides. The interview was about how there are a lot of different training methods to accomplish goals.

You have to get on that track a little bit if you want to kick with the best! You may get to 4:03, but you won't win anything. At least to do some fast strides a few times a week.

Kind of refreshing to hear a coach say there is more than one way to get a job done. Too many egos involved in coaching. This is the kind of guy I would like to run for.
