Sam Chelanga Liberty 10K NCAA Championships Day 2

chelanga had a fantastic season but his season reach its peak when he set the CR for the 10, after that he was always tired. It would have taken a 27 min 10k i think to win.

sam still has 2 more years to improve, he's not afraid to lay it all out and go out fast to see if everyone will let him go and take him up on his charge. as soon as he stepped foot on the track he raced to win thats all you can say.

ya i agree with SFduck . chelanga and forrest went out way to hard, and rupp ran a brilliant race catching up to them and then kicking the last 800 in 2:00 flat

That's funny. You obviously know nothing about running. No way Rupp would have lost, no matter what tactic. Rupp ran a 5000 less than 24hrs before. No excuses for them.

He was the better man in the race and should have won but to correct him, it wasn't an honest race cause Rupp just sat there while they did all the work, have they had run smarter they would have beaten Rupp but i wish we could really see an honest clash.

LOL @ the reasoning behind the 30 second 200 from 1200m. Have to give him props though - he isn't afraid to hammer out some fast splits. Hope he has even more success in the future.

MikeyB, why don't you usually like foreigners? Is there something wrong with them? Do you want them all out of the US (except for Sam Chelanga, you do like him).

I have to be honest, I REALLY like seeing Galen take it too him.

seems like he's where Rupp was a few years ago in terms of running great times but not winning the championship races... He still has 2 years of eligibility though!

This guy is good for the sport, fun to watch and exciting!
