Anyway, great coverage by Flotrack. This looks like it was a fun event with some first-class talent and thanks Flotrack for letting me see it even if it's just by video. And I'm really looking forward to watching Rowbury run this season. She's looking very strong.
HEY Harry..
I have to ask for forgivness. I was just playing around with my post. Never ment for it to cut so deep.. I'm just a hugh HALL family FAN.. I love what they stand for.. As for your race. Good Luck.. and if your wondering I'm a 17min 5000m runner and a 3 hr Marathoner. Going to Boston next year.
This will be my last post. never ment for it to get out of Hand... althought I'm definatly not scared of your challenge... from a mile to a marathon... RUN HARD !!!!
Wow, a "pesonal threat" on flotrack. Mr. Harry Sena., you need to go away already. Your statements have no merit. I shortened your last name, ending in i, to help you save face. I'll bet that Illinois Road Runner beats ya in the 5000. No joking, you need angermanagement classes and a reality check. You're not that good and shouldn't make statements about running form (30 degrees??) when you aren't qualified to do so. Sara could beat you without even trying. Get a life!!!!

hey, "irunfasterthanharry". i do have bold statements. they have merit and worth. i do know what i'm talking about. yeah, i looked up those results on athlinks. they are a little misleading. you have a big mouth. i'll tell you what. i will be at the 2009 run for bonifest @ the st. boniface catholic parish grounds in edwardsville, illinois on saturday may 22nd. the race starts at 8:30 AM. i'm pretty sure i could take you on a 5,000 meter tour of edwardsville.
Harry, all of the other posters are right, including irunfasterthanharry. I live in Michigan and must say, you know nothing about running. As others have said, go away! Your photo makes you look constipated and attempting to look tough. Swearing is NOT appropriate on this site, even if abbreviated as others have said. You need some serious therapy, and soon.
seriously, you need to shut your GD mouth. give me your email address. you want to make something out of something as trivial as this? is it that serious a*ss*hole??? bring it on. i'd be more than willing to have a row with you!!
at about the 800 they say the place is packed with spectators and then the car moves and there is no one behind the bars. ha it was just a dead spot though

Shannon's form equals efficiency and efficiency is everything at that speed. She is an amazingly effcient and powerful runner and is a thing of beauty to watch. So yeah, let's talk about form. Can you run fast with what most would consider to be "bad form?" Yep. ie.Michael Johnson. But that doesn't make Shannon's form any less beautiful or something to talk about.
@ the end of the day, all i'm saying is, she could run significantly faster if she wasn't leaning so far forward. that is sound logic. it is tested, and true. you are the one who should go away. why don't you sign in instead of being a little b*itch about the whole situation. go a dog you
It would help if you didn't resort to abbreviated swear words when you post comments on this website. It shows your (lack of) maturity and it really diminishes the validity of your point.
You stated that if Sara improved her form she would beat Shannon. So that means you think that with better form, Sara can run sub 4:00 for 1500 meters (because that is what it would have taken for her to beat Rowbury last year)
Why do you make such bold statements based on pure speculation? Let's just stick with the results and give credit where credit is due.
Rowbury ran an awesome race. Sara did a great job too, but losing by 6 seconds does not support your statement that she could have run 15 seconds faster AND beat Rowbury if she had better form.
Now that's what I call a real stretch.
Harry, your logic is crap! Go a lot faster, you say? You are rookie son and need to go away. Sara is not in the condition of Shannon and if Shannon weren't in the race, Sara would have won, right? Then you would have said "what" about her form? Absolutely nothing.
my logic is sound. stfu noob. (poor form + strength) = slower time versus (excellent form + strength). It is obvious sara could go a lot faster if she wasn't leaning forward 30 degrees. just for the record, i'm a fan of both runners.
If Sara Hall were a stronger runner, she would not have recently lost to Rowbory by six seconds in this road mile and by over 20 seconds in the 5k at Berkeley. Rowbury is a very strong AND fast runner with amazing form.
By the way, Sara's form has improved a lot since she started training in Mammoth
if sara hall had shannon rowbury's form, then sara would have won in sub 4:25, it almost seems like sara is stronger, but her form saps a lot of energy.
Awesome, she was in complete control and ran her own race. She looked as if she was 100% mentally/physically. I'm sure it's not that easy, but she really made it look that way. What a peak performance!
Thank you all so much for your coverage. I was not able to make the trip but I feel as though I haven't missed it thanks to you. That's Big. All the best and hope to see you in Berlin. G
