Is there more to this video? I wanted to here more about how he was picked, and what kind of workout he did in the morning? That is really impressive run a workout and come back to run 405 that night. Not many guys could do that

AJ Acosta would be a prime candidate but he's red shirting this outdoor season. I think Shadrack was the best choice. They knew going in he would be running something around 4:03-05. The other three felt they could absorb that. When Rupp got the hand-off the clock was right about at 12:04. Rupp knew if he went sub-4 they had the record. That's all they were hoping for. Shadrack put him right where he needed to be.

wtf said:
he should not have been on the relay, there are plenty of other guys on the team that would have split faster than him. He almost ruined there shot at the record.
rupp states shadrock ran a workout that morning and it was also mentioned wall tweaked a calf. he ran alone too. "plenty of other guys", i doubt that vinnie made a bad choice. too bad there wasn't more competition. with all respect to OTC elite, it was a time trial for the ducks. also, there is another video out that includes time after rupp finishes and the entire oregon team enthusiasm for the performance is outstanding.

I remember Galen and Shadrack running together in high school. This has got to be fun for both of them.
