Any coward can say he's a transplant and not use their real name, Bernard Lagat is an American citizen and unless you're a Indian Native then you too was transplanted from some place else but I imagine you're an American citizen as well.
If you're truly a fan, you should be happy for America medal in the 1500m, and the Bernard Lagat strong finish and the fire that he has inside of him to run the 5000m.

that 5k could be special if he plays his cards right. If he is with Bekele in the last 200m.......... well who knows. I think at the very least we will see 3 americans in the top 10

Get off the transplant/immigrant thing. Lagat is a great athlete and a wonderful person. We are proud of you Bernard. Fantastic race! Good to see the old man doing well still. Very impressive!

It seems like he had to think about the language he was speaking. I feel like English is easier for him. I hope he wins the 5k, I loved his TV interview.

whoa I have never heard Lagat speak.... Swahili?? weird. besides that... great guy, just stayed boxed till it was too late
