43.45 or not, doesn't make a difference in how you're allowed to treat people, even though it's debatable whether that was a diss or not.
After reviewing the video, it doesn't quite seem like a diss, he just left and didn't stop to turn back.

diss?... wait a sec. he didn't diss him- he dont have to answer everything. if he said "f-off im talking to him mother&^?!£$"... then he'd have dissed him lol. anyway when you've run 43.45 you can diss who you like. he's still the king of 400. this is just a blip (err... again). wait till 2010 after a hard winter with clyde he'll be back on top- owning merritt like its 2006!
43.45 or not, doesn't make a difference in how you're allowed to treat people, even though it's debatable whether that was a diss or not. He's not the king of the 400. He just has the best PR of the active runners which is pretty impressive. No sub 44's for him recently though. Working with clyde hart though he may stand a chance at beating his personal best and definitely a chance at beating merritt.

He was just disappointed with his effort because he hates to lose. He would've given Mark an interview, but he was just ready to get out of the situation and focus on his next endeavor which is the 4x400. Hopefully he does start getting back into his groove in order to be in the right mood to talk.

Wariner talks to the European reporters because they are for more informed and intelligent, and polite than the US TV reporters, and the near amateurish US web reporters. (Sorry flotrack, LR etc., but you guys are like fanzines, not real news outlets. We love you, but you haven't really studied how to interview well).
That's a pretty ignorant comment.

"Informed"? Both Ryan and Mark are very dedicated and knowledgable to track and field. Please, tell me how they are less "Informed" than European sports reporters.
"Intelligent?" While Flotrack may be less formal and less professional than some reporters, therein lies its beauty. I enjoy watching Flotrack because they have fun interviewing and share a personal relationship with a lot of the runners. Watching a formal interview where the reporter has a stick in his ass is so much less enjoyable for the viewer and the athlete.
"Polite?" Throughout watching the interviews from the World Champs, Mark and Ryan have both been very polite. They always let other reporters talk first and are nice and genuine towards the athletes.
Maybe Flotrack could clean up a little bit, but it's perfectly fine where it's at now.

you guys are all hatin way too much. chill out. the interview he gave was perfectly sensible, and no doubt an improvement on last year's Oly moment of pissiness. it's not obvious he's dissing Flotrack at all. just seems like he was sort of "done" with interviews and wanted to move on. what's the big deal?

on the subject of interviewing: I love Flotrack and the 2 main guys are great. Kudos. Total respect and enjoy what you are doing for track and field. That said, please, please, work harder on refining your interview methods. For one, try to be a little more thought out and structured with your inquiries -you can still do the open dialogue thing, but try to keep things more focused and concise - particularly when it's between rounds!! Don't overburden worried and out of breath athletes between the rounds with too many questions.

Also, everyone is different. Wariner is a highly talented, highly productive, highly successful, and actually a very kind individual. It is easier for some to interview after defeat, others need more of a break after a race, and the current system doesn't allow for that...like time to even meet with your coach, understand what happened, get your thoughts together.
There are tons of people who don't do well in front of a camera often.
It doesn't mean you are an ahole, it just means that you are your own person.
Wariner will be back. He has lots of years of greatness ahead of him.
Right now we are fortunate to have two great athletes in the 400 that the rest of the world are chasing.

Its not just flotrack he gave the cold shoulder to he did the same thing after his 400m semi with the versus/nbc reporter just walked right by him. he has a huge ego and acts like a douche. sadly MJ was not the nicest guy either when it came to signing autographs. i think he gets it from mj.

Mark has consistently been dissed by Wariner. The reason is he pissed him off at Reebok Grand Prix this past May. Mark fumbled through an interview with him and you could see the tone change from friendly to hateful. Mark has no confidence when he interviews and he asks bad questions which pisses off guys who don't have patience for stupidity.

Yeah diss, he could have at least said not now guys, but he has time to talk to the euro reporters because Adidas is German owned. Who do you think puts the money in his pocket? its the fans who buy Adidas apparel. Who gives a flying crap if he runs43.45 and is an ahole...yeah, im sure his popularity is going to rise as well as his paycheck because if he keeps ignoring the small guy he wont have a paycheck...Merrit has made him his , now he cries and cant talk to the lowly Flotrack. Booo hoo

I thought he took his loss real well, gave props to merit on his vs. interview. He lost with some grace this time as compared to the Oly loss

Here's the deal, Wariner still thinks he's the best in the world, regardless of his losses to Merritt. I wonder if Hart or MJ is fueling his ego with that nonsense?

Jdflash   August 21 at 9:46pm
He totally dissed Mark/Ryan who ever was interviewing, you could see his expression as he walked away. Understandably he is upset, but the best winners are also the best losers. I lost some respect for the guy. He's not going to beat LaShawn Merrit any time soon especially with that ego.

It's funny. He's run crap times (for him) this year with Hart. Everyone's acting like he came back to his senses and got back with his coach, but a lot of good that's done him. He was still running sub 44 last year... sad on the one hand, but on the other it sets him up for a great story if he can come back in 2011 and win.

Solita Says   August 21 at 5:20pm
You are too self-centered. I can't stand the superegos. I wish I didn't support you in the past because of the way you have turned out to be over the last couple of years. I'd prefer Flotrack to ignore you from here on out, really.
As far as athletics goes, you'd need more power to do what you want to do. You are not an attractive representative for the USA.
I'd prefer you not run the 4x400 for the USA.
Solita, 51.6 400m, from during the 80's.

I wish you the best, Jeremy, but it was lame to dis Flotrack like that.
Also, I'm obviously not your coach, so I don't mean any offense, but in the race vid, coming down the final straight, it looks like you're not recruiting as much power from your hips/core as you could. Just saying.
The rivalry between you and Merritt is great for U.S. track, so I hope you'll keep bringing it.
