We are all proud of you kenii. I am really really proud of your concern and value to other athletes like Geletie for whom you were even saying "Ayzosh" in the middle of your interview. Let God bless all your life and upcoming races.

Bekele's Next Challenge   August 24 at 5:17pm
With double Gold Medals in the 5k/10K from the '08 Olympics & '09 World Championships plus his 2004 Oly Gold at 10K, his 12 Gold Medals from the World Cross Country Championships, Outdooor World Records in the 5k (12:37) & 10k (26:17), Indoor World Records in the 5k (12:49) , 2 mile (8:04) & 2k (4:49), Bekele has established himself as the Greatest Track Distance Runner of All-Time.

Many will Argue that Hicham El Guerrouj or Haile Gebrselassie are better, but El G only has 2 Oly Golds (1500/5k) & Haile has 2 Oly Golds at 10K, but has never won the Olympic or World Champs 5k/10K double. Neither El G nor Haile has won a World Cross Country Gold medal, whereas Bekele has 12. Also, Bekele is UNDEFEATED at 10K (his specialty) whereas El G & Haile were defeated several times at their respective specialties (1500 & 10K)
Bekele seems to have a finishing sprint that rivals that of a Miler like El G (El G has slightly more sprint speed), while possessing the stamina of a Marathoner (Haile had both 5k & 10K world records before BekEle broke them--Haile is the current Marathon World Record Holder 2:03:59)--Bekele clearly is the BEST "Track" Distance Runner to date. Can He Dominate the Roads the way he has dominated Track & Cross Country ?? I

idkkkkk man, i agree his is incredible and at the moment there is no one who can beat him, but i think haile in his prime could have beaten him, and i don't think bekele has surpassed his greatness and dominance in long distance running justtt yet

el guerrouj if he was still running in his prime, would have beaten bekele hands down. lagat i must admit isnt as good as el guerrouj. el g has a better speed endurance. lagat couldnt hold his speed and his form for the last 100m today. el g could, thats why he beat bekele in athens, where bekele was stronger and faster and better than he is this year.
you must be out of your mind bekele is the greatest long distance runner ever. no one has been this dominant, el g wasn't even the best in his own event noah ngeny had beaten him many times and was the better racer of the two. bekele is in a league of his own, and i can guarantee you he will be the first man to break 2 hours in the marathon. looks like the amhara canjero is working. anbessa

One of the best distance runners of all time...Even with a slow pace for the 5,000 meters...he was still able to out kick Bernard Lagat...Great race and job today...
