he is defending world champ so he gets in 1500 and 5000 if he wants without needed a qualifier...i think he's gonna be real tough this time around in the 1500.

What TY said below, I agree 100%. I grew up on 3 tv channel (abc/nbc/cbs) and periodical sports coverage where everything is edited and canned. This stuff is awesome.

This is what more americans need to do. Have an international perspective on things. Usually, they set the bar (in distance events) to the American standard rather than the world standard. This is why we always get waxed abroad. Looking forward to great things from Lagat.

I'm confused...can Lagat still run the 1500 at worlds becasue he was world champ last time? Like does he get an automatic invite back? I was under the impression that if you don't run the event and qualify at USAs you can't run it at worlds, because wouldn't that defeat the purpose of taking the top 3 in each event...?

How confident would you feel if Bernard Lagat was changing his racing schedule to include 800s in order to try and compete with you?

Lagat has to look for the 5000mts. he does not have the speed for 1500

The thing I really like about Flotrack is that they have developed relationships with athletes that allow for a conversation to develop rather then just firing off questions. you notice in this video how it seems lagat loosens up when he starts talking to mark after the other media guys are done. I think we get a better understanding of the athletes with Flotrack. Awesom job.

lagat carries himself unlike any runner i've seen. his executions and his mannerisms exude understanding and confidence in that.
