Very pleasantly surprised by his run last night. Great effort to get up there and break others. Especially 2 months after London and without any kind of track training in 2 years or so. Looking forward to how he'll run in Berlin. I'd like to see him and Rupp work together at WCs and contend for a medal (either one of them).
I'm also in agreement with what was said below. I'd love to see Ritz go for some kind of peak for World XC. That's probably what he's best at (XC), but unfortunately there's no money in it.
Here's a question - He's looking for a coach. He wants to be successful at the marathon. He also wants success at 10k. Who better to coach you, then, than the man who is having success with both distances in his athletes - Alberto Salazar?! Maybe he's looked into this. Maybe they're not a great fit. I don't know. But I hope he's explored it.
