I'll bet Ritz can run a 2:06 marathon, its just a matter of him actually doing it. Salazar will keep him healthy and injury free.

I am glad the three are galen, ritz, and nelson. Abdi does not deserve to be on the team ever if he cannot stay with these guys, plus he is a jerk, personally.

he made it. and to all the haters out there saying sh*t that Ritz is done, think again! he's going to worlds in the 10k, he's running for Salazar, and now has a talented training partner in Rupp. i'm still a believer in Ritz and after his performance at USATFs everyone should be to. again to all of you haters, go suck it!

as for Rupp, i'm not that big of a fan, but i'm so happy that this American kid has a shot to medal at worlds. i wish him the best of luck and hope he represents the USA proudly

Is he still looking for a coach? I wonder if Terrance would pick him up, it would be a good pair hall and ritz but thats saying ritz still focusing on the marathon.

Ritz ran like a champ. he ran a man's race but Rupp had the kick.both of them earned it as well as nelson. great team in my opinion. two olympians and a new comer.

Ritz is the man! 2 months after a marathon. Just goes to show you how talented this guy is. I hope he stays on the track a litle bit before going after the marathon 100%. I love the 'stud' tag for the video.

And seriously, the Rupp bashing is just getting ridiculous. My Hero, if you want to criticize anyone in that race, try the guys that couldnt respond when the pace picked up (all but 3) and the guy who lead at the beginning, changing the pace and looking behind him who finished a minute off his PR.
Rupp raced more this year than anyone else in that final, there is no reason to kill himself so he has nothing left in August. He lead plenty this year, NCAA's indoor 3k, his 13:18 AR, XC Pac 10s and West Regionals.

Rupp is smart. That doesn't make him a bad guy, that just makes him even closer to becoming a competitive international runner

Oh my god, give me a break. Rupp finally learns how to win and he gets bashed for THAT. Rupp was CLEARLY the best runner in the race. Stop whining.

You are the greatest Ritz. You and Abdi made that race. It's too bad Abdi didn't make it, we would have had two that could really compete on the world stage. Now we have only you and that other guy that never helps with the pace and lets everyone else do the work. I guess you can say he's a "welfare" runner.
