Anna Willard 1500 team USA Outdoor Championships

i think she was covering all bases in case one race went sour. But what you get is to less that stellar performances.

Even Shalane F said it's too hard to double at the world champs (at least the 5,10). Anna has improved amazingly in the last year but she's still not at Shalane's level of last year.
I do question the wisdom of doubling. I definitely think it's too much at World's for Anna and though she did it here at USATF, and yes that is hard to do, it didn' t make for good races.
Last year it was scream to see Anna and Jenny duke it out. Anna did well but the fans lost out

She was saying she wanted to run 9:15 or so in steeple, but it just doesn't seem to happen for her. Seems like her expectations and predictions don't meet reality. She said she didn't want to place 10th in a world meet but be in the medals. I don't see this happenning anytime soon.

Bird Man, get your facts straight. Willard announced her engagement, like, a year ago, and she's not w/ Cragg.

Anna is great!....The only US runner this year to run under 2 minutes! What range! WOW!

Great double in the steeple and the 1500 ! Good luck at World's in Berlin this summer.

Alistair has moved training groups, no longer in Arkansas. He left his training group and is going to be in Mammoth. Didnt know it was serious with Anna. Congrats on everything guys. Maybe see alistair wearing the star strangled banner soon. London 2012!!!!

Great Job, way to go. You and Wurth Thomas are going to make great training partners in the fall.
