I would be a bit more respectful to the top-runner

You haven t the right to talk like this about a Wariner just because he had had ONE bad year.
YOU have to tie yur laces and do better than these guys
and that is a damn hard work
If you did that, we can talk about the fault other athletes
So shut the up !!!!!

To Robert Rumsey an AC

It is obvious that Wariner has a slim body ad looks rather to a 800m runner than to a 200/400m runner.
but for sure he has not the mental strenght for a 800m runner
He always answers to the question of switching to the 800m, that he hates running longer distances(800m)
He would rather make a 200m career than a 800m
Moreover he has not any desire to run the 800m

The Observer:
You clearly don't know how these championships work or how the athletes train... Get your facts straight and maybe stop being a prick.

Thanks.

Pastor Steve, if you don't type anything in for your name it shows up anonymous coward. I'm assuming that the two AC's are different as i know this third one did not post the others. I hope Wariner comes out and does well, as he said he's a little rusty and it looks like he was, especially since he said he would've run finals.
Thanks for the info, that clears up quite a bit of confusion on my part.

I agree with Rumsey, I bet he could be one hell of an 800m guy if he applied himself to that race

Hey 'The Observer', you are WAY off base, as is AC in his second set of comments. Hey AC, your first words were right on, what happened? Those who win the first battle don't always win the war, this was only the first battle. And, its wrong to ever show such disrespect to an Olympic Champion, whether he ever wins another race or not, he will always have that gold medal (well, until judgment day anyway) which neither you nor I can say. Show a little class.

Wariner is the reigning world champion at 400m and therefore is automatically qualified to run in Berlin. All he is required to do is run a race at nationals to retain his eligibility for worlds. I feel The Observer’s comments are fairly harsh given the fact that Wariner is not required to run the 400m and is basically training right thru the national meet preparing for worlds. Lagat is in the same situation since he is the champ at 1500m and 5000m. Note that Lagat ran the 800m this week to get in his one race. I do not feel Lagat was “afraid” to run the 1500m or the 5000m he just used to 800m to work on his speed much like Wariner running the 200m.

So your working on things now to go run some races later...? Broski these are the US Championships.. u run track professionally..your an AMERICAN. THERE SHOULD BE NO LATER. Stop BS'n and go race Mr. Merritt in the 400 (were u belong) or just straight up say your scared of the dude and u can't beat him. Folks are weak these days.. if you can't beat'm, avoid'm... WOW! Just like Walter Dix in the early round of the 200, the guy "strained his hamstring" yet when u go back an watch the tape he holds his right hammy and then his left (im dead serious)... WOW.. are u folks kiddin me, Dix is scared of losing too!!
Friggin Panzies need to get over yourselves (your pride) and go run bc you have an opportunity and a gift that soooo many others don't have.
I'm disappointed in what I saw these last few days...
People feel like T&F;doesn't get enough respect and it doesn't.. and it should. But damn! You don't get respect by backing down when things get tough or u think yur going to get beat. THAT'S LIFE. HAVE SOME HEART..OR GET OFF THE TRACK!
I just call it how I see it!

I know this sounds crazy, but I think Jeremy should be a 400,800 runner.
