Trying to get media attention? that is the dumbest thing Ive ever heard! And if that is "Nike's plan", then I lost all respect for Leo. Displaying such a weak performance contradicts why we fell in love with him at the collegiate level.

That's what a lot of money upfront will do to ya. Forget where you came from, and you'll forget how to run. At this level, every race will feel like hell if you want to win. I dont think nike will have another performance and poor excuse like that again.

He is trying to get media attention. I gurantee you he will win his next race. This is all a part of nike's plan. Benard will get third the next race with Lomong in second and Leo leading.

I was actually able to catch some of his training upon his visit to University of Texas a while back and I witnessed him running repeats of this time and faster.

I just got in from a terrible 800m race which i travelled 2 hours for...a race which i expected good things from. fast first lap killed me off, and i broke down. but its nice to kno that even the best fall down sometimes...keep on trucking tho Leo

Leo hasn't proboably run that slow since High School, and the interviewer let's him get away with, "...I broke down mentally."?
