Shalane also broke her own American Record in the 10k, with a time of 30:22.22,… + See More - See Less - On August 15 - In the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China - Shalane finished 3rd in the Womens 10k Finals, earning a Bronze medal. Shalane also broke her own American Record in the 10k, with a time of 30:22.22, shattering her own previous American Record of 30:34.49. It was only the second medal earned all-time for the US in the Womens 10k at the Olympics.

#4	Tammy May 18, 2009 at 7:23am I think Jenny Barringer is one to watch. She can compete with all of these professionals in just about any event. I am no longer impressed with Shalane. I guess I didn't like the media stuff about her changing coaches and steeling her coaches workouts. I don't like women who let their husband control them, she would do better do dump him as well. reply
