Although no one can truly relate to the pain you are feeling, as everyone's experience is different, you have my greatest compassion and empathy. A loss of a child is like no other. I believe that my mother, Caroline Guzik, was a friend of Helen Huffman's for many years in Salem and was acquainted with David and his siblings. She, too, lost two young sons, and her experiences have given me a greater understanding of what you are going through. My heartfelt prayers are with you, and I believe that Dustin lives on.

I am SO proud of Dustin. I know that he is "running fast" in heaven! I feel so blessed to have been his aunt and I want to continue his legacy of going the extra mile and being kind to everyone. I love you Doodle Bug!

May God bless you with comfort and peace at this time. I only saw Dustin a few times after his days at Real Life, and he was so very respectful. His influence among his peers was obviously a great one.

Dear Huffman Family,

My daughter ran track for the first time this past spring. Dustin purposely came up to her after her runs to tell her how good she was doing, even telling her that they should run together. She was very encouraged. Thank you so much for raising such a fine young man. He blessed many of his peers and the younger runners, too. May God truly bless you and keep you and give you peace.

Dustin was the best!!! He txt us right away cuz we couldnt be there cuz of Roger's accident. We told him how proud we were of him and how much we loved him. He will be in our hearts forever. Never, never forgotten.

Dustin was a great kid. He will be missed.

My son Dustin Huffman ran the third leg for Salem. We are so proud of him. This is his tribute. He was killed this afternoon after he fell 100 feet off a cliff at Beaver State Park. We love him with all our hearts and he will be missed by many.
