Girls 1600 Racewalk 1600 Racewalk

I'm from Maine, and I'd have to say the racewalk is, by far, the most monotonous event on the track. There is a reason other states don't do it. Other events measure something - speed, strength, endurance, jumping ability, etc. Racewalk doesn't measure anything. It's as if some people sitting around wanted a new event so they made one up.

And the reason these competitors are going to nationals is because no one else does it. Without them, the event wouldn't be contested.

i don't know who you think you are, wheredo you think you get off saying this event isnt REAL? a famous racewalker once said, theres a medal in the olympics for it- and it's the same medal as any other event. So f you if you think this isn't an event. I probably train harder in one week than you have in your whole life so don't knock it until you try it. I'm sick of people thinking RW is easy- it's probably the most painful event and it doesn't get as much recognition as it should. I wish I could see you face to face, so I could really give you a piece of my mind.
Good job, girls, this was a really good race. I look forward to seeing some of you at nationals.

The racewalk is so much more challenging then you think it would be...trust me on that one!

Yeah this is a real event! what the heck is your problem! i competed in this event, and trust me its real. it required real training and hard work! you look up the rules and regulations of race walk and tell me if you think is real, because it is! the form and specific rules make it really hard. You;re just tooling on this event because you have no effing idea what you are talking about.

maybe you should buy a "track for dummy's" book, because it looks like you need to learn a few basic things about the sport!
