Good job! Mike! I ran against him in 2005NAIA 200meters.I think he was rank number 4 and I was rank 5 for Webber International University. We ran a time like 21.1or 21.2. I just wanted to say hang in there man you doing your thang. Its good to see that you are still hanging in there.I'll be back on the track soon.

whats the deal said:
JC whats with the anger man? Argue a point? Not trying to be a D, but you made no point in your first post. and who is wrong about what? you don't think this guy is the real deal and others do. why get made at that. loosen up a little, its cool to have you're own opinion but no need for the anger.

bottom line, we'll see what happens next week. rodgers has won two big races but he has to do it on the big stage now when it counts. after that, we'll see what squad gets sent to berlin. either way, its always good to see new talent emerge in the field. i hope mike has a good showing in eugene
HAHAH

JC you got punked.
Response is great.......... Chill out with all the hate.

Anonymous Coward... Who are you??? You need to go do something with your life and quit hating on young athletes. If he is in it for the money who cares as long as he is performing and giving fans who do love the sport.

He's definitely not overrate more like UNDERrated.
Hold it down Mike and get this MONEY!

Some ppl just don't now how beast this dude is. hes no y at all and comes out of nowhere to beat a former world record holder, the 2008 Olympic Silver and Bronze medalist, some other Jamaican runners that ran in the Olympic 100m final as well. He also beat a few of them twice. Not saying he is definitely faster than all those he beat at Reebox Grand Prix and Pre Classic but he certainly has worked hard to get where he is. He has talent to earn one of those sweet medals at World Champs.

Michael Rodgers ready for USA Championships

Before this season Michael Rodgers was known for his indoor 60 meter races. He made it to the Indoor World Championships in 2008 where he finished 4th. This year Rodgers is on a roll in an event that everyone knows, the 100 meters. At both the Reebok Grand Prix and Prefontaine Rodgers grabbed the top spot in under 10 seconds, a barrier that he had not broken until this year. With Tyson Gay not having run the 100 yet this season, Rodgers will be going into the USATF Championships ranked #1 in the US and #2 in the World (Bolt currently #1 at 9.77).
