Haha about 3 hours ago.
Chris derick can beat German and German can beat Chris Derick, it just depends on whoss feeling better, and where they are in there training. You cant deny Dericks win at Stanford, or Germans win at worls cross.

(FINALLLY!!! SOMEONE WHO GETS IT!!!)

Are You From Oregon?   June 29 at 7:47pm
To Oregon track club 23 hours ago. I was there for the 10k. The entire stands when nuts when Rupp sat for 24 laps and took off with 500 to go. I agree with you that they should have led a few laps... but be careful talking like that if you live in Oregon... because their hero didn't lead a step until the last lap.

What that with these guys?! They have just proved they are best in US but still if they could lead a couple of laps it would even better...

topper harley, i think you have no room to talk about fam.

(EASY THERE, DEAR. I'M A HUGE FAMIGLIETTI FAN. GUTS LIKE PRE. I LIKE THAT IN A RUNNER. IF HE WOULD HAVE DONE THE 59 IN THE 7th LAP, THAT REALLY WOULD HAVE SHOOK THINGS UP.
STOP LOOKING FOR THINGS THAT JUST AREN'T THERE.
ALTHOUGH BEING ORIGINALLY FROM ILLINOIS, LIKE JAGER, I'M KIND OF HOPING THAT HE DOESN'T GET THE TIME SO FAM WILL GO!)

Why hasn't anyone called Teg a tool for not leading any of the race until the last 100 meters?
I read this all the time about runners who just sit and kick here.

Lagat, Teg, and possibly Solinsky will be able to run with those Africans. The team is Legit and will go to Berlin and run tough. Tegs 13:04 pr will be reset this year I bet.

Chris Derrick ran 13:28 a few months ago. He couldn't drop 3or 4 seconds? Especially in a race like this?
(BY THE WAY, WHERE WAS DERRICK? IF HE WAS IN THE RACE AND GERMAN WASN'T, YOU WOULD HAVE CALLED HIM A TOOL FOR NOT RACING DERRICK.
WHERE'S MEADE? HE RAN 13:28 AT STANFORD. AND THE GUY FROM ARIZONA STATE WHOM EARLIER RAN A 13:27 GETS SMOKED AT NCAA'S AND HERE!)

Slow Flotrack Videos   June 27 at 5:58pm
Why does flotrack always take so long to load the videos?

I've been loading this for 15 minutes and it barely moved, now trying again
for 10 minutes and it's loaded about 1 minute of the video. There is not any
problem with any other site than flotrack, and I have a new fast computer!
It would be nice to see the videos. Please work out the problems with your site.

Fam   June 27 at 3:16pm
Actually, only Chris Solinsky has the IAAF A standard (13:20.00). The US can only send 2 A standards and one B (13:29.00). In this case Solinsky and Teg (B standard) are going but if Jager won't better his time to an A standard before the end of July, then Famiglietti could make the US team as he already has the A standard...

fam did make the race. i have alot of respect for him and how hard he runs. he rather give it his all and lose then sit back and kick. yes he may not win as many with that attitude, but he deffinatly is an inspiration and makes the race.

Just like at NCAA'S X-C, we'll never know if German would have beaten CD.
Just like last night's race, we'll never know if CD would have beaten German.
Maybe Chris goes with the leaders for the first 6-7 laps. If he did, he probably wouldn't have enough left towards the end.
All I know is that for the next 3 college years, we're all going to see some great racing. And you add Luke from Oregon in the mix, as well...
Enjoy it while you can!

Fam made that race. His interview sounds like he wasn't worried if the win didn't happen he wanted to make the race competitive. Even gutsier feeling flat w/nasty wind.

I was pumped for this race and it did not dissapoint. To me that is just how Fam likes to race. He is the kind of guy that would rather come in 4th and keep the race honest rather than sit and kick for the win. We need to remember that the race would not have been that fast if it wasnt for Fam.
