Dear Lori,

I really liked your interviews and the apparent maturity that you exhibit especially in the very tough situations you are encountering. We all want to see you hang in there. I am a long time high school coach and understand your struggles. To whom muh is given much is required. I am in concerted prayer for your future...never fear the Lord is near! J.Mahr, Hesperia, CA

I love this girl. While she's clearly suffering through this period, I'm confident she will overcome all in time. She's a first class lady with loads of talent. Winning the mind game is as much a part of this as the timing.

Lolo here is a simple Game Plan .. based on this interview ... hope I lead you in the right path :
1. Formula: no expectations, manageable goals, high confidence
2. Focusing on the process instead of results
3. Getting into a confidence state of mind prior to competition
4. Remaining confident in the face of adversity or after poor sections
5. Getting beyond your comfort zone in competition
6. Trusting yourself in competition to do what you have done in practice
7. Enhancing consistency from race to race and developing a pre-competition race plan. Racing your own race.
8. Dealing with intimidation and not comparing yourself to others.
9. Letting go of errors and mistakes.
10. Understanding the advantages and disadvantages of perfectionism

If you need more information on any point I would be glad to help
cheers ...

You're a champ Lolo...I feel so bad for you, but a hamstring injury is not something you can quickly recover from. You'll be back on top because the passion for track is there.

Impossible not to root for her, but she should not be so hard on herself. There is no harder event to come back to from an injury that the hurdles, so it will take her time. Today, she got left in the blocks, seemed to panic a bit, and did not run relaxed. With a good race or two, she'll regain trust in herself. Go Lolo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
