We All Make Mistakes!!!!   July 26 at 4:08pm
Despite Lagat's vast experience racing against the World's Best distance runners (El Guerrouj, Bekele, etc), he made a SERIOUS mistake thinking Bekele would tire & slow down. Bekele is a 10-time World X-Country Champion, 3-time Olympic Gold Medalist & World Record Holder at 5k & 10k....Lagat knows that Bekele is a master of pacing and should have stuck with him instead of letting him go....However, Lagat was honest in admitting he made this mistake, and I hope he learns from it & applies this lesson in the World Championships.

Double Trouble   July 18 at 10:31pm
Hats off to Bernard Lagat for attempting the 15 and 5k double for three years straight now (if not more?)--all those rounds, and the variable training for each event. He deserves tremendous respect just for that.

Handles questions about people that beat him wonderfully and with humility. A true class act. We need more of him and less of Wariner.

Why must they go on and on about Bekele, ask some questions about Lagat and what his plans/fitness are/is.

You could tell Bernard just wanted to keep walking when Ryan asked for more questions...but he was very gracious and stopped. Class Act!
Wariner could learn a thing or two from this gentleman

A typically unassuming, honest perspective from a Kenyan. Bernard has enjoyed a long and successful career and he still exudes the same desire and determination to succeed. I hope he will be on the podium in Berlin.
