I like how Ryan says to Rotich, with the slightest hint of regretful anticipation, "Oh, so its just you and me now...". Thought that was pretty funny, myself.

US Performance of the year candidate.
US 800 runner breaks 1:58?

After inury no-show in Paris, I'm glad she worked out the injury and stayed in Europe. Worlds are now a well earned trip for her. She also knows many of the competitors now. Go USA

Monaco: Last Stop Before Berlin

Its my last stop before heading to Berlin, the Herculis Super Grand Prix at Monaco. This meet was great last year....the weather is awesome, the scenery is sweet, and there is definitely A LOT of money in these parts. It feels like you're on semi-vacation when you get here which is nice because for many people life on the circuit can get tough. Monaco is a great refresh for sure.

As you can see I got to meet Lucas Rotich, a 19-year old Kenyan who has run 12:58 this year. It was interesting listening to him talk about their training, the training group he was in, and not thinking he was good enough to run at the kenyan trials!!

Make sure you check out the meet tonight, should be some great times out there. A handful of Olympic Champs will be out there along with many of the world's best in 2009.
