In track, he was the Nike Indoor National Champion in the two mile and Nike Outdoor National Champion in the mile. At Cal, Coe set a school record in the mile, running 3:56.18. He also won All-American honors at the 2009 Indoor Track and Field Championships by placing 2nd in the 3,000m and anchoring the Cal DMR to a 3rd place finish. Outdoors he placed 10th in the NCAA 1,500m.
