i was lucky enough this year to be able to watch christin run some of her workouts at the u of a and right away she was a total inspiration to me. she actually told me when i was doin a workout there that i reminded her of me on that 8th 200 puttin the hammer down. i cant tell you how often i think of that and how that one sentence she said to me can change my attitude during a hard workout like that. i may never even break 5 minutes in the mile but she sure as hell helps keep me reachin for the stars.

Coming out of southern Illinois didn't help her get a name in running....all the press goes to the Chicago Burbs even though she won the State AA championship several times. Glad to see progress....no disrepect...but it shows that hard work is sometimes more important than nature talent! Good luck in 3 wks!

and I too just saw her win in Stockholm...WOW!

Coolness!!! Now, lets get a Workout Wednesday with her. I hope I don't sound like a jerk, but she isn't the type of girl who you look at and go,"yeah she is hot." After seeing an interview with and just how awesome her personality is and how she comes across on camera you can't help but think she is a cutie and fall in love with this lady.

She is so cute yet gritty. It’s cool to see people not give up on themselves and continue to grow. We have some outstanding guys & gals representing US in the middle distances this year. Ok now I know she probably wanted to be in the shade, but couldn’t we have had a better background? After all you are in Monaco a rocky promontory extending into the Mediterranean and your doing it in the PARKING GARAGE? We expect better than that from you Ryan.

Never a "nobody" people just hadn't had the opportunity to know her back then!
I like her because she is always smiley and upbeat, and happy! and doesn't make excuses.

It has been fun seeing her progress. I didn't know her either until this last season.

Get to know Christin Wurth-Thomas

Christin Wurth-Thomas is having the best year of her life this season. She has become one fastest American 1500 meter runners in history and just set another PR in Monaco when she ran 1:59 in the 800 meters. Take a listen and see how Christin's career started back in Illinois.

Christin runs the 1500 today in Stockholm, her last race before the World Championships. nWatch it LIVE on Universal.
