Flash 400, I understand if you want to cheer for frontrunners. I always cheer for ZT because he goes for it and is an underdog to KB (who sits on him). But I also respect KB's discipline to stick to his race plan because he knows that give him the best odds of success. KB probably could have blown everyone away from the front but that would have come at an increased risk to himself. So his championship tactics are smart. Galen's learning to trust himself and be confident in his finish. If someone thinks they are better than Galen, they can outkick him or run away from him. Galen has no obligation to lead his competitors, particularly in a championship.

I think this kid is the most talented distance runner the USA has but I find it very hard to root for this kid and dont understand why Eugene loves him. The reason for this is his complete lack of willingness to take the lead even when his oppenents completly stop he refuses to share the load. I was in Eugene for the 10k and the leaders basically went to a walk to let him take lead and he would not. I feel Pre would of hated this kid and called him a blood sucker. I have seen him on multiple occasions refuse to share the lead duties. I feel he is the complete opposite of what Pre stood for as a runner and I dont see the love affair. That being said he has an extreme amount of talent and I wish him the best of luck but I cant be a fan.

Rest up dude. It was a super-long year with about three or four peaks. You ran really, really well and it will only be easier for you next year with all the experience you gained.

Wow, I didn't realize how many people who commented on this site were OCD. that's a pretty serious condition, counting all of those "ya knows..." all of you people should go to some group therapy and get some treatment because God forbid you leave that untreated, you might find yourself counting how many times a day you act like a tool.
8th place is pretty awesome in my book! congrats Galen!

Can't wait until next year. This guy needs a well deserved break. Like to see him do US cross and go to worlds and then get focussed on an AR assault summer from 3K-10K along with Ritz, Webb, Solinsky and Teg, and who knows maybe Jager.
