man sara hall, she needs to work on closing that last 200m not going backwards. nonetheless, 15:33 is very good for her. I am sure she could run sub 15:10 on a track right now!! anyone want to challenge this? i would be willing to knee you in the face because i am right ho.

No Love For The Foreigners   September 21 at 7:11am
I don't know if it was an attempt to be funny or if it was honest ignorance. Both guys that are doing the voice over identify every american women by name (during the race) and act like the foreigners are not there. WHY? I understand that it is a US Championship but it really makes the voice over appear ignorant. It is almost as if they don't know their names. Also it is illegal to cheer for runners (Amy Hastings) from a vehicle that is granted permission to be on the course. If you delete this (because it is critical) I will definitly send an email to the Race Director and USATF.

Thanks for the footage. The race was boring this year. That is why I like US Champs where the good foreigners still run in them (like Peachtree) because at least the US runners have to step up their game and try to run fast. Course conditions were fine, the athletes just chose not to run hard (well the front 3) until the final hill.

Sometimes, especially in championship races like this one, runners tend to run slower, more tactical races instead of running all-out for quick times. I don't know much about the course conditions today, but I suspect it has nothing to do with the times. Also, many of these athletes are finishing up track season, so some may be burned out

I read the results on the usatf website. Why were the times slow for these runners who can run faster times? Can you explain the course and the conditions that led to slow times for these guys?
