The music was fine. Quality of video was flotrack good (try following moving runners and you will understand). I thought the workout was too difficult for this late in the season on the distance side but only by a few intervals. Go Carolina, run strong this weekend.

Turn It Down!   November 12 at 8:48pm
you guys continue to play the music too loudly!! The music was not good this time and made the audio very unpleasant........otherwise I think the UNC team did really well.
I've been running pro for over 20 years (now a master's runner) and continue to be inspired by all the bright young coaches and runners. UNC has great places to train.
I would jump those gates because it looks fun! Can't wait for the NCAAs

I live a mile from Umstead, and have seen a couple of tar heel ladies on sundays. A lot of good long hilly runs to be had there. Good luck at regionals

Jason-

We love Umstead and have run quite a few miles there this year, pretty much all of our long runs actually. We are lucky to have such great training locations in the area.

I train on the american tobacco trail almost daily and love it! The surface is amazing, the scenery is awesome but if you're looking for hill work you won't find it there. I hope for these girls sake they do some work out at Umstead.

you might think this trail is nice to run on, but.... we have trails like this in Minnesota, and it sucks. Its just one long strait gravel path, kind of boring despite the scenery. its a nice surface but mind numbing.

UNC Women prepare for regionals - Season 4, Episode #7

The University of North Carolina Tarheels have had some changes this season. With the addition of new coach Pete Watson and the lost of one of the NCAAs best in Brie Felnagle, the season looked to be a tough one in 2009. However, the girls in Chapel Hill have stepped up to the challenge and are now a contender for an NCAA spot. Led by All-American Lauren Holesh (30th last year at NCAAs) and All-ACC performer Ashley Verplank (8th in the conference), the team will go into the Southeast Region with high spirits and one goal in mind. Best of luck to the ladies this weekend in Louisville as they take on the best in the Southeast!

Workout:
--> 2-mile tempo (moderate), 3 min rest
--> 3x1200, 90 sec recovery
--> 3x1200 (broken....400-15 sec recovery-400-30 second-recovery-400)

Music:
Track #1 - Galactic
Track #2 - Aceyalone "On The 1"
Track #2 - Jet Horns "Free Trick Pony"
